  • Eat lots of whole grains, fruits and vegetables.
  • Choose fish or lean meats such as chicken or turkey and sometimes try a vegetarian meal for a change.
  • It's healthier to grill or dry fry rather than frying in oil.
  • Avoid foods high in saturated fat (more than 5g of saturated fat per 100g is considered high).
  • Snack on fruit (dried or fresh) and a handful of nuts rather than savoury snacks that have been fried in oil.
  • Try to aim for 30 minutes of exercise every day.
